Scholarships

At Trinity, we recognise that every student’s journey is different, shaped by their individual strengths and aspirations. Our scholarships recognise students with the talent, character and commitment to embrace the opportunities ahead. They reflect the breadth of a Trinity education and the many different ways students can pursue their interests, develop their abilities and make their mark.

With scholarships spanning academic achievement, music, cocurricular pursuits (sport, leadership, performing arts, service and more) and financial need, we offer scholarship opportunities for students with a diverse range of strengths, interests and experiences.

Frequently asked questions

What scholarships does Trinity offer?

The scholarships available for students entering in 2028 are:

  • Academic Scholarships – students entering Years 5, 7 and 9.
  • Music Scholarships – students entering Years 7–9.
  • Cocurricular Scholarships – students entering Years 7–11, recognising students who demonstrate talent and commitment in a wide range of cocurricular pursuits, including leadership, sport, performing arts, service and more.
  • Means-tested Scholarship – students entering Years 9–11.
  • Scholarships for First Nations – students entering Years 7–12.
Can a student apply for more than one scholarship?

Yes. Students may apply for more than one scholarship, but a separate application must be submitted for each scholarship. However, students may only be awarded and hold one scholarship at a time.

My child has already accepted a place for 2028. Can they still apply?

Yes. Students who have accepted an offer of enrolment are welcome to apply for a scholarship and will be considered alongside all other applicants.

Which scholarships require students to sit an entrance exam, audition or interview, and which are assessed solely on their written application?

The selection process varies according to the scholarship, but across all categories we aim to gain a broader understanding of each student, their qualities and what they might bring to Trinity.

Academic Scholarships applicants sit an entrance examination, with shortlisted candidates invited to interview. Music Scholarships applicants also sit the academic examination and submit an application that includes a video recording of them playing their nominated instrument. Shortlisted applicants are invited to interview.

Cocurricular Scholarships applicants submit a portfolio outlining their achievements and involvement, with shortlisted candidates invited to interview. Means-tested and First Nations Scholarships applications are reviewed, with shortlisted candidates also invited to interview.

No scholarship is assessed solely on examination results or a written application. We are particularly interested in getting to know each student beyond their academic results – their interests, character, strengths and aspirations, and what they might bring to the Trinity community. Our values of Truth, Courage, Community and Service also underpin what we look for in each applicant.

What level of fee remission is provided?

Scholarships provide partial remission of tuition fees. As scholarship awards are determined on a case-by-case basis, remission levels are not publicly disclosed.
